Oh July

July is here!

It comes with such a mix of emotions.

First of all, July is referred to as the "month of love" in the Haskins house. (well, not really- that would be kinda cheesy, but it SHOULD be referred to as the month of love!)

July 6th marks our legal 7th year anniversary of being married.

July 31st marks our "spiritual and ceremonial" 7th year anniversary of being married.

Yep. That's right. We were married twice. For more on that story, click riiiiiiiight HERE.

July also brings us one month closer to celebrating Joshua's 1st birthday.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. Next month, my baby would have been one.

One whole year old. And we only got 7 weeks with him.

Doesn't seem fair to have a birthday party without a birthday boy.

I'm not sure what we are going to do.

The thought of August 16th coming, makes me sick to my stomach.

But I'm not even going to think about it right now because today we leave for an undisclosed amount of days to an undisclosed location for some family vacation time.  Just Shane, me, and the kids....oh, and all the in-laws too...but that's ok. It will be nice to get away and just spend time together as family.

I won't be around much over the next few days so I'm going to pre-schedule some posts in honor of "The Month of Love!" They are some of my favorite posts about Shane and I hope you enjoy reading a bit about the man that makes my heart skip a beat (and quite possibly the things that he has endured from me throughout our 7 years of married chaos bliss!)

It didn't feel right to me either to do nothing for Evan's birthday. So we had cupcakes and balloons and some poems read at his graveside. It felt right and I'm sure he enjoyed it watching the flood of balloons!

You'll find something that feels right. Even if it's just a cupcake after dinner on his birthday and having his big sister and brother blow out the candle. :)
