Since we are still away with family, I am pre-scheduling re-posts of past blogs posts while we are away. (Confused yet?!)

THIS post proves to you just how very much Shane loves me. I hope you laugh as much as I do every time I see his picture!


The best part about him looking like that? He had interviewed for a job 3 days earlier with bone straight hair. He started his first day of work with a curly hot mess of a head. I'm fairly sure that his boss took one look at him and wondered what in the world she had gotten herself into!

Yup. He really does love me!

Marriage Re-post

Yesterday at Moms Together, the topic of conversation was control.

I don't know about you, but that is one area in my life that I am constantly working on.

I struggle with my issues of control daily. I find myself praying with regular frequency that God will help me to give up some of that control and allow Him to work in my life.

Since Joshua died, I have realized how little control I have over any given situation. I like to believe that I have control, but in reality I don't.

All that to say, I was reminded of a post that I wrote back in November about my struggle with control in my marriage. It has been one of my most popular posts, and just rereading it has brought so much encouragement to myself (sorry that sounds so self righteous and self centered) to keep pushing forward.

God has truly been transforming our marriage into something beautiful. He continues to work within both of us, and I know that He is making our marriage into something truly beautiful.

I pray that you find some sort of encouragement today as you read that post. I would also love to hear your thoughts about control, submission, and being a Godly wife. I know that I gain so much wisdom from hearing from other Godly women who face some of the same struggles! Feel free to leave your thoughts on this post!

Rewind

I'm not feeling very creative today, so I thought I would repost another one of my most popular blogs.

I don't know about you guys, but I cringe when people tell me "God won't give me more than I can handle."

That phrase, is not only completely un-Biblical, but it also takes God completely out of the equation of our lives. (I know that really didn't make a whole lot of sense. )

Please, next time you want to say something comforting to someone, please don't tell them "God won't give you  more than you can handle." He DOES, in fact, give us more than we can handle!

This one is kind of a piggy back to the first post, but it's about my transformation from an crazy control freak to a woman who is constantly trying to give up that urge to control.

Rewind Wednesday?!

Over the past few months, most of my posts have been about Joshua and my journey with grief. Someday, and hopefully sooner rather than later, I will get back to posts like this that show a little bit more of my personality.

My dear (real life) friend Molly, called me yesterday with an idea that I loved. She suggested starting a "Rewind Wednesday."

What, might you ask, is "Rewind Wednesday?"

Well, sweet readers, Rewind Wednesday would give some of my newest readers a chance to read some of my older posts that they may have missed that show my quirkiness and joy in life. I don't want you to have to sit and read my blog from the very beginning (unless you really want to, be my guest!).
