Turning in the Man Cards

I'm sure most of you know by now that I am a Twilight Fan. Go Team Edward!!!! (I've written a few posts about it here and here and probably a few other places too...)

I am all about the sparkly vampire goodness!!!

My poor husband has been very supportive of my obsessive Twilight behavior. He will even admit that he enjoys the movies.

Because of my love for all things sparkly and sharp toothed, it was only natural to want Eclipse when it came out on DVD on December 4th at Midnight. (we'll just call it an early birthday present my birthday may or may not be in a few weeks...before christmas!)

Shane went out with a friend for the night to enjoy some guy time while I was home with the kids. I told him to take his time coming home and to have a good time. To my surprise, he called me at 11:15pm and said, we'll I'm already out- I might as well stay out another 45 minutes and go get a copy of Eclipse right?!

I was shocked! I have the best husband in the world....seriously!

So Shane headed to Walmart.

I got the following text from him at 11:45pm: "You have no idea what this is like. Nothing but teenage girls all over the place."

11:50pm: "You can only get the movie at the electronics desk. There are stupid girls screaming YES! and running down the aisles. Now they are skipping and holding hands."

11:55pm: "Do you know how unmanly I am for doing this?!"

During this time, a friend of mine suggested that I text him and ask him to get female hygeine products to add to the movie purchase! HA!

At 12:05am he sent this: "I got the movie. AND it was on sale! booya!"

I couldn't resist the urge and replied: "You definitely turned in some man cards tonight, but as long as you got the movie, that's ok with me!!"

I love that man of mine!

doesn't he look so excited?!

Love it!!!!

No words. Just love.
Trying to gain back the man cards he turned in!

Wow, Shane one-upped Dan on this one!! Dan did buy my copy of Eclipse for me, but he waited until midday Dec 4th. He did not go at midnight and dodge teeny-bopper Twi-junkies, LOL!! Go SHANE!!!

Awww, how sweet! what a man!
and, in my book, he EARNED man cards by braving screaming, teenage girls at Wal-Mart for his lovely wife!

What an awesome man! I tried talking my hubby into going to the theatre to see it. Didn't work. He did watch the first 2 on DVD with me though. Guess I can't complain :)

LOL! I love this and you really do have an amazing man to do something like this. I didnt want to buy the movie just wanted to rent it so I went to the video store at midnight. I asked my hubby to go with me and he said he was NOT going, that it was embarrassing and he wasnt going to be seen in public waiting for the release of a movie like that lol. So I went by myself :( but he did watch it with me!

I'm sure that he had his ulterior motives...he wanted to watch it just as much as you did. ;) Good job Shane.

That is freaking awesome.

And I am totally a crazy Twilight fan too. I know, I know - I'm almost thirty and good grief - I have a freaking love of sparkly vampires. Crazy. I may even read the fanfiction.

Your husband is awesome, btw. My husband would NEVER do that.
