Sickness, Spring Break, and Skinny

Yesterday marked the beginning of Spring Break for Caleb!

It also marked a week of Spring Break for Shane! He took a week vacation to be with our family this week!

It could not have come at a better time, that's for sure.

We don't have anything overly exciting planned for the week. A visit to Shane's family in the Chicago area, maybe a trip to Brookfield Zoo. But other than that, it's pretty low key.

After almost 10 days of feeling like death, I finally broke down and went to the doctor yesterday. My sickness was just not getting better. After a brief exam, (and I mean brief....) I was diagnosed with a pretty bad sinus infection and possible strep. So, off to the pharmacy I went to pick up my antibiotic.

I came home and Shane was home from work. I dumped the kids on him and went up to sleep! Yup. That's right. I went to bed at 7pm on the first official night of Spring Break. (I know...I live on the wild side of life. No need to remind me!)

And now I'm up. At 4:30 in the morning. HAHAHA! However, after even just one dose of antibiotic, I'm feeling MUCH better. Not 100% but, there is a noticeable difference in my hacking and blowing of my nose.

Also, because I haven't let you know. I reached my 20 pound weight loss goal 2 weeks ago! That's right.
Started at 255. Down to 235. BOOYA!!! Take that fat!

I stepped on the scale yesterday (my official weigh ins are on Tuesday evenings) and the scale said I was at 229. I almost cried! If that is the case, only 30 more pounds until I can take that 2 off the beginning of my weight. That will be the day, I tell you. That will be the day.

Uh oh, I hear a baby crying. I guess it's time for the 5am feeding!

Glad they helped your sinus infection! Those are the worst. Enjoy your break! I am from Chicago. So many wonderful kid friendly activities there. I always have a great time when my family comes to visit me!

Thanks!

Both Shane and I grew up on the Indiana/Illinois border. My house was 2 blocks from 80/94 and just a block from the Illinois State border! Going back that way is always a good time, for sure! :o)
