Posts are Coming.

I have about 10 blog posts swirling around in my head, but I just can't seem to find the time to sit down and write about them.

Lately, I've been extremely sick (swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, coughing/gagging, lack of energy and appetite, etc.) I've been on quite a few rounds of antibiotics, and they seem to help for a while, but then it all comes back and I'm miserable again. I have a feeling I may need to get my tonsils out, but that ain't happenin' until baby comes out! :o)

We've also been packing and preparing for our move! We move in 28 days and things have been pretty chaotic around here. Caleb is finishing up preschool, Hannah is STILL working on potty training (which has been an failure of epic proportions), and Shane has been working all sorts of crazy hours at his new (and amazing) job!

Life has been crazy to say the least!

So, in an effort to not forget what I want to write about, here is a bullet-ed list of the topics that have been swirling around in my head! Feel free to tell me which one you want to read about first and I'll be sure to blog about that topic first! (you know...whenever life starts to slow down a bit! HAHA!)

~ Less TV time for the kids = happy children + happy mommy! This is such a great one and I can't wait to share!
~ A new ad contract that I've entered into for my blog that should be in effect in the next few days! woot woot!
~ Next years plans for Caleb. To go to Kindergarten or to not go to Kindergarten- that is the question.
~ Decorating ideas for Caleb and Hannah's new rooms! (they will finally be in their own room once we move!)
~ My thoughts on Joshua, our new baby, and life in general
~ My new adventure into cloth diapering...(seriously-why didn't I do it with the other 2 kids?!)
~ A disgusting Barbie toy that Hannah got for Christmas. (Once you see pictures, you will agree, and will probably be pretty grossed out by it too!)

I think that's everything. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

Let me know which one you want to read about first! I'll try to work on it tonight!

I'm curious about the disgusting Barbie toy. My daughter is not allowed to play with Barbie (for other reason I'd rather not get into) So it'd be interesting to see this post. :) Love you, even if we've never met.

I'm voting for the disgusting Barbie toy.

There is a book called "potty training in less than a day". I have heard amazing things about it from a lot of different mothers in my life. It has to do with teaching the baby to first teach a doll how to wet on the potty and then applying it to herself. It's supposed to give the kids a sense of empowerment and importance, and it is said to work with even the most stubborn of children, all in varying degrees of "readiness"

I also wanted to mention that sometimes kids have trouble potty training until they have experienced a year or so of "emotional and environmental stability" and things can disrupt this like abuse, divorce, loss, new siblings, new houses... my husband's parents had a messy divorce and he moved around the age of 3 and it really disrupted his potty training, he was finally trained (by his new guardian- his grandmother who is a brilliant child psychologist) at age 4 after living with her for about a year. She used the method i mentioned above, and i have heard about it from others..... it requires a good deal of planning on the parents' part, but once executed shouldn't take more than a day... but it is a full, entirely uninterrupted day..... anyway, just thought that if you are really desparate to train her ASAP(although it may be a great deal easier to plan to do it in the new house)that this method may really be your key. Hope this helps!!!
