Capture your Grief Day 1: Sunrise

Today's sunrise was nonexistent because of the fog. Its fitting though because my journey with grief began as a giant suffocating fog. I walked around in that fog for months, just trying to survive the day. Thankfully, the fog has lifted in my life and I am able to see God's provision and faithfulness.

We are located in Indiana. Sunrise at 7:37AM.

It is no coincidence that today is the beginning of Capture Your Grief, and today's subject is the sunrise.  Since moving to our new home exactly one year ago today, I have been incredibly blessed to see many beautiful sunrises.

This home and the rest and peace that I have found here are all because of God's provision through Joshua's life. It is one of the many ways that God has provided for us through the pain. This home has been a place of healing for me and the sunrises have played a major role in that. Each morning is fresh and new. It's a new beginning. It's a way of seeing God's splendor. Each morning, I allow the morning sun to wash over me, rejuvenate me, and warm my soul. Each morning, I thank God for what we have been through and where He has brought us.

Will be joining you on this journey this month, though I may not comment every day, know that I am thinking of and praying for you and sending you my love.

I found you through the #captureyourgrief project. We had a super foggy/cloudy morning here too. I also thought it was extremely fitting for what this project represents. I am already so glad to be "going through" my grief with all of you this month.
