Aquaphor Giveaway!!!

A few weeks ago, I wrote about my new found love for Aquaphor.

I was not paid for my post, nor did I expect anything to come out of it. I simply wanted to share my love of all things Aquaphor.

My posts automatically post to my Twitter and Facebook. The kind people at Aquaphor caught wind of that post through "the twitter" (as my dad used to call it) and sent me an email asking if I would be willing to do an official review of their product.

Since I've been having a secret love affair with Aquaphor, I immediately said I would LOVE to try some more product and do an official review for them.

They then told me that I could also hold a giveaway to share the Aquaphor love. YES. PLEASE.

After a few days of waiting, a package arrived in the mail. It contained this.

Not only did it contain Aquaphor product, but it also contained a $50 Visa Gift Card to be used however I  pleased! (I may or may not have gone to Joann Fabric and bought waaaayyyy too much fabric with it!)

Let me tell you. This package could not have come at a better time.

I had been sick for a few weeks prior to the package's arrival and my nose was dry and cracked from blowing my nose. My lips had split from being so dry from having to breathe out of my mouth. Not to mention, my skin was pretty dry and flaky from the dry winter months.

After just one application of the Healing Ointment, my nose felt so much better. It was no longer flaky and cracked. I could actually put a tissue to it without cringing from pain. My hands and forearms also felt a lot less tight and itchy from the dry skin. I'm telling you. This stuff is amazing.

Now, onto my lips. A few years ago, I blew myself up with the gas grill. (Don't ask....seriously.) Ever since then, I have had some scarring on my lips from the burns that I received from that accident. On occasion, the skin on those scars peel, tear, and bleed. Add a nasty head cold, in which I can't breathe out of my nose, and my lips became a hot mess.

After just two applications of the Aquaphor Lip Repair, my lips were feeling much better. The Lip Repair didn't burn my lips like some chapsticks do. It was very gentle. It helped heal the cracks in my lips and allowed my scars to heal. In fact, after using it almost constantly for the past week, the scars on my lips feel a lot softer and a lot less noticeable. YES!!! (the only downside is that a certain someone can't seem to keep his lips off of mine....cute at first, but kind of annoying after a while!) ;o)

So, here is the best part of all of this.

The kind folks at Aquaphor would love to give away a tube of their Healing Ointment, a tube of their Lip Repair, AND a $50 Visa Gift card to be used however you want! Isn't that sweet?!?!

So, here is how you enter.

Leave a comment below. Any old comment will do (but I would also love to hear your favorite Aquaphor product, if you have one). It's that simple.

I will leave comments open from right now until 9pm Thursday (4/19) evening.  Then I will use Random.org to choose the winner!

Also, for a 2nd chance to win, feel free to head over to my friend Amy's blog. She is holding the very SAME giveaway. Leave her some love and get yourself entered to win! You are welcome!

Also, for more info about Aquaphor, feel free to check out their Facebook page by clicking HERE.

In case it wasn't clear enough in this post, I was, in fact, compensated by Aquaphor for this post. I was given the Healing Ointment and the Lip Repair to review. I was also given a $50 Visa Gift Card. However, the opinions expressed are mine.

This giveaway is only open to US Residents who are 18 years of age or older.

I haven't yet tried Aquaphor but I have the same nose problem when sick for more than 2-3 days! would also love to give the lip treatment a try

We have used Auqaphor since J was born. It is the only thing that we could use on his skin while he was in the incubator. Still use it for bottoms, knees, heck pretty much anywhere skin is dry!

I haven't tried Aquaphor, but I would love to! Being students in the medical field and washing our hands VERY frequently, my husband and I both have very dry, cracked hands. We haven't found a product yet that works, so we would love to try this out!

I would love to try that as I have my Carmex right next to me! My lips are ALWAYS dry! Would love something to smooth them!

Hugs to you for everything you have been going through!

Omg I LOVE the lip repair!! I had an allergic reaction to Carmex about a year ago my lips were crazy swollen, once the swelling went down, my poor lips were so dry and cracked I could barely talk. I went to CVS and tried the lip repair and in about a day my lips were just about healed!! It's seriously a miracle product!! I literally have a tube on my nightstand, one in my purse, one in my bag for work, and one in my car. I have some of their lotions as well but my big love goes to the lip repair!!

I've been using the advanced therapy healing ointment on my dry skin and it's been helping me a lot.

Thanks for the chance!

Girl, I LOVE me some aquaphor. It's a GODSEND for a mama with a scaly, rashy, eczema-elbow-patch boy like my sweet Aengus. It works so well that after 2nights of getting slathered with the stuff after his bath, his skin is smooth and perfect again. Do not enter me in the drawing, though. I have a huge container of it already that I gotta use up.

Love, love, love aquaphor!!! Funny story... whenever I put it on my heels (dry & cracked from winter) my big, fluffy himalayan cat, Hosanna comes & licks it off my feet and out of the jar.

Love it works greaT on my sons skin

I have used the lotion before, but not the lip repair! My oldest son has extremely sensitive skin. Doctor recommends he only showers every 2-3 days. However, a 9 yr old boy, heat, sweat, and baseball...NOT an option. SO, Aquaphor helps his skin out a lot! Now I'm gonna have to go try the lip repair :)

Angi said...

YES, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! Rylan's skin is SO bad in the spring/summer with eczema and Aquaphor is the only thing I have found that makes any kind of difference. I agree with its magic powers. I just hate how expensive it is - we go through a lot.

jacobcassie said...

We LOVE aquaphor over here! We started using it on our son's circumcision, then his entire body as a newborn. It's amazing. I can only imagine how great the lip repair is. Thanks for such a fun giveaway!

I love aquaphor! I have two sons that battle eczema and it's been a lifesaver. I keep a very large tub of it on the changing table, you can find Aquaphor Baby Gentle Wash and Shampoo in my tub and the teeny tiny tubes of aquaphor in the diaper bag! I always recommend it my friends, with or without kids!

BlessedMommy said...

I love Aquaphor! I use their travel sized tube as a lib balm and it's the only thing that helps my lips! whoo hoo

I LOVE Aquaphor products! The traditional balm is great on chapped noses, just like you said Jill, and they also make a hand cream that I LOVE! Aquaphor works wonders on my poor little boy's eczema. If I put it on his rough spots before bed, by the next morning, his skin looks so much better. I would LOVE to win some Aquaphor because you get what you pay for and it's not cheap! :-)

Amy Bennett said...

Oh how we LOVE LOVE LOVE Aquaphor products! Everyone in my household suffers from excema, and I swear, it's the only thing that works! It also, I discovered recently, works wonders for getting EKG and tube sticker residue off. Go figure. ;-)

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to try these products~ever since you first mentioned them. This post is hysterical, btw! Love your product review and hope you do more! Do you have to be random? Couldn't you just pick me?
I am on a truckload of meds (I have peripheral polyneuropathy, fibromyalgia, migraines, and psoriasis) and my skin is often dried out from all the meds I use. Plus I found this great all natural oinment for my fibromyalgia but my psoriasis doesn't like it so it keeps flaring up on my hands. *sigh* Hope your random thing chooses me! :-)

Here from Amy's blog! I love how long a tube of Aquaphor lasts! I've only ever used samples that I've gotten & it seems to last forever! I rub it on my cuticles because they get so dry!

I also LOVE aquaphor!!! I love the dry skin therapy i wash my face with facewash and when i get out of the shower my face feels so dry so i rub some aquaphor on my face...I LOVE that it smells so good and it just takes a dab to feel so amazing and leaving skin so soft

My 5 month old has some pretty significant eczema and my pediatrician suggested I use the haling ointment after baths. It works great! We used to call her "lizard baby" because she was so scaley, but now if I keep up with the application, Aquaphor makes her all smoothe.

That was awesome they gave you all that. Yes we do need to hear the story of the gas grill. If it makes you feel better I could tell you the story of my son lighting a cup of gas on fire. No I'm not kidding. Luckily he has no permanent scars.

Yay aquaphor! I like using the healing cream on bad diaper rash for my son. I have never used the lip ointment though...

I used Aquaphor on my 10 month old daughter's dry skin this winter. It was AMAZING how quickly it went back to soft and smooth. I love it!

We discovered Aquaphor (the healing ointment)a couple years ago with both kiddos had a cold, leaving their noses all ouchy. :( Our doctor actually introduced us to the product. Since then, I've bought multiple of the small tubes that can be thrown into a purse or backpack and have them placed EVERYWHERE - in the car, bathrooms, bedroom, living room, etc. I use it on everything skin related, but think that by far, it's best at softening cuticles and keeping fingers from hangnails... :)

Erin said...

I LOVE Aquaphor. It does wonders on chapped skin during a cold. SOOO soothing!

McCammons said...

The last time I used Aquaphor was for my oldest son when he was diagnosed with a skin condition. It worked fabulously. I did not know that they actually had lip care products. I would love to try them out again as I have extremely dry skin. (I just can't afford it because for lotion.skin care it's a little above my price range) :)

My oldest daughter has severe excema and Aquaphor is our best friend in the winter months, so happy to hear that it has made your quality of life better too :)

Never heard of Aquafor before but wondering if it contains parabens. Can you read the back and see if some of the last ingredients are either methylparaben or propylparaben. IF i win I will read the ingredients myself. Thanks

I just recently discovered Aquaphor and will never go back to anything else. I have had eczema my whole life and the summer is the worst with outbreaks. Other ointments have just gave me temporary relief BUT with Aquaphor I did not need to reapply the cream every hour. – Michelle mjlhenry@yahoo.com

I LOVE Aquaphor around this house... it works wonders on my cracked heels from too much time in my boots around the farm.. and the boys know to bring me their "hand socks" and I slather them up with Aquaphor and then socks on hands... and off to bed they go.. and no more dry itchy hands by morning!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Aquaphor Baby! It is THE ONLY thing I can use on my daughter Kelsey's eczema. She has it so bad, we have even tried prescription steroid creams and they did nothing compared to Aquaphor!!! When she was a baby I would coat her in the stuff, leave it on all day and then when I would wash her at night her skin would be so baby soft. Would love to win this, seeing as her eczema flares up in the warmer months!!

The "ingredients" read as follows:
Healing Ointment:
Mineral Oil, Ceresin, Lanolin Alchohol, Panthenol, Glycerin, Bisabolol and Petrolatum

And there is a lot listed in the Lip Balm, but none of them end with paraben!

Hope that helps! :o)
