Clinging to Him

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:8-9

My dad is still alive.

He is in a great hospital with fantastic doctors caring for him.

Other than the cancer, he is in relatively good health.

My God will NEVER leave us. He is with us every step of the way.

I am tired- So weary. But Jesus himself promises rest.

Luke smiled a real smile for the first time this morning.


I'm focusing on these things, along with the hundreds of other things we have to be thankful and praiseworthy for.

I'm sure the weeping will come, but I HAVE TO keep my eyes on Jesus. He is my only Hope. He is my dad's only Hope. He is the great Healer- whether that is here on Earth or in Heaven.

God has taught me to simply be still and trust. I have no control. I'm trusting in Him. No matter what.

Praying praying praying for your dad....keep your hearts and minds focused on Christ during this time.

Jill, I am just sitting here. I have just put my hands up, I don't know why there are times that we continue to have to these Bam and after booms. I do know that you need to just throw your hands up and give it all to God, b/c without him all things are not possible. Love you Jill and as always thinking of your and yours.

Praying, Jill! FABULOUS verse. And wonderful outlook. Somedays when I've looked at God and said, "Really? This too? REALLY REALLY?"

His reply is always, "Yes, but don't worry. I'm still here. Keep going."

This is so horribly tough, but God is near you and will never leave you, nor forget you for you are carved in the palm of his hand~as is your father too.
Luke's 1st real smile is a reminder of God's gift of love and joy in the midst of sorrow and despair.
