An Update of Random Things!

Last week was a wirlwind of emotions and activities.

This week may prove to be the same.

We got a call last week from our Realtor. She told us that we had to move the closing of our house up to last Friday. When I asked why, she informed me that Wells Fargo was going to foreclose on our house this upcoming week. In typical Wells Fargo fashion, no one from the liquidation department informed the mortgage assistance department as well as the short sale department that we had an offer on the house and were due to close on it this upcoming week. Therefore, they were getting ready to take over the property with a foreclosure, and NO ONE informed us that this was going to take place.

Our Realtor found out and moved the closing up to this past Friday. So we went, signed the papers, and we are officially out from under that house! YAAAAAAA HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! The bank also did not make us sign a promissory note- so we don't have to pay back the balance of the debt. We will, however, receive a 1099 form that will make up claim the balance as taxable income, but we should qualify for the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act that will forgive that remaining balance.

Thank God it's over! The timing was perfect and we are out from under that house before it starts getting cold!

My brother has been living with my parents for the past 2 years since graduating college. He has been working full time, trying to pay down some of his school loans in an effort to be able to move out.

Well, this weekend, he finally moved out into his own apartment! He's 2 hours away from us, in a new town and a new job, but we are super excited for him! Plus he's close (like across a cornfield from) his girlfriend, which both of them are excited about. We helped him move this weekend into a nice little apartment and said our "see ya laters."

It was sad to see him moving on, but we are all excited for his new job and new life on his own!

Although, I don't look forward to the day that I have to cut the apron strings and say goodbye to my children! :o(

I've become completely worthless around here lately. Standing for long periods of time, walking long distances, picking up the house, bringing in groceries, getting in and out of bed and off the couch- these are all tasks that are quickly becoming near impossible for me.

I've started becoming entirely too uncomfortable. Luke is taking up waaaaayyyy too much room in my belly and using all of my organs for his own purposes- you know, punching bags, pillows, strength training. The typical "I'm growing a really HUGE baby kinda stuff."

This past Friday we turned 35 weeks. That means 5, maybe 6, more weeks to go. (although I wouldn't complain if he decided to come in the next 4 weeks....)

We finally set up the crib, and rearranged our room a bit to accommodate a few baby items. We are slowly but surely getting his clothes, toys, and other things in order for his arrival!

I'm SO SO SO excited to have a, God willing, "normal" birth experience this time around (you know, like actually bringing a baby home). I can't wait to bring a tiny sweet baby into our home and spoil him rotten with love. You may have to pry him out of my arms if you want to hold him... :o)

And just because it wouldn't be a complete update without another (mini) crisis. Shane's car decided to crap out on us on Saturday. It's always something with our family! (My friend Molly, says I need to write a novel.)

He looked at it today, jiggled a few wires, and it was able to start. However, after letting it run for a little bit, it started feeling and sounding like it was going to die. We made a few calls, and we are going to get it in first thing tomorrow morning. We are just praying that it's nothing too major and can be quickly and easily repaired without costing us an arm and a leg.

It also just happened to die at the most inconvenient of times as Shane is working his closing shift this whole week. He won't be home till after 10pm every night- and I can't possibly drag the kids out that late to pick him up. I think we have a plan, but it's going to be a bit of chaos this week!

If you've made it this far, you deserve reader of the day award! Go ahead and pat yourself on the back for making it through!

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday!

Hoping, and excitedly looking forward to hearing about your 'normal' birth experience. I hope our next one is normal as well. And cars have the worst timing. Mine crapped out last year two weeks before our son had OHS at the big hospital 90 miles away. Saturday before surgery we were buying a new car. Fun stuff! What are you gonna do? Roll your eyes, shrug your shoulders and hope for the best. Wishing you peace and rest the last few weeks of your pregnancy.
