This was caught on my kitchen counter last night.
It's the 3rd of it's "kind" in the past 4 days.
I suppose we probably have a new pet for a while....
sorry for the poor quality. this was taken with my phone! |
Anyone want a new (animal and critter loving) husband?
I know this is nothing compared to some of you folks that live down south,
but for Indiana this is BIG!

The bad thing is, is that Shane caught it last night. this morning it's still on my kitchen counter. There is NO WAY I'm getting rid of it, so I have to look at it all day until he get's home at 3:30. UGH!
Omg!!! I just got the heeby jeebies.
I HATE spiders!
That thing is awesome! Take more pics, I wanna find out what kind of spider that is!
(PS, I should clarify, I only like spiders in captivity. I would NOT be happy to find that thing roaming freely around my house LOL)
It gives me the heeby jeebies too. If you lived closer to me, we actually have a friend whose son LOVES those type of criters. He actually wants to study bugs when he gets older and people in our church find all sorts of icky criters for him. And btw your hand is way to close him in the pic. Hebby jeebies!!!
I hear snakes like spiders...introduce them to each other. ;)
you forgot to mention the other reason those pics turn out fuzzy...I'm usually trembling by the time I take them ;)
ROFL that it still on your counter!
I like the introduce Mrs. Spider to Mr. Snake idea... unless you don't like snakes. If not then... smash Mrs. Spider with the cup?
Too bad the snake won't eat it :)
That is gianormmous for any where.
When we lived in the Philippines, we had a special kind of chalk that we could use to draw circles around ants...and the ants would have to crawl over it, and it poisoned them. I don't know how well it would work on spiders, though.
Put it in the cage with the snake. They can either fight to the death or be homies...either way, they'd both be in the tank together....
EWE!!!!!!!!!!! I hate hate hate hate spiders!!!
