I've Been Busy Healing...

Have you noticed I haven't been around much?

I haven't been on Facebook as much. I haven't been texting as much. I haven't been returning emails as much. I haven't been blogging long and drawn out posts. I haven't been spending much time on my Facebook "Fan Page." (although I still read everything you guys leave for me, I just don't respond as quickly as I used to.)

I've been extremely busy....(playing with play dough, playing intense games of Candyland, Pop the Pig, and Shutes and Ladders, reading books, and playing house.)

After this post, I decided that I needed to get my priorities in order. I have fallen in love with so many of my readers, and some of them have become close friends of mine- even if we have never met. But I also realized that I put too much time into staying in contact with them, and not enough time working on myself and my healing. (not that I want to cut you guys out completely...I could NEVER do that!!! I love you all too much!)

After that post, I went into complete hibernation for a few days (we even hid out at a hotel for the weekend- away from everyone and everything). I spent most of those days crying my eyes out and having some serious discussions with Shane. After that post, I decided that I simply could not keep up what I was doing.

So while I am still here, I am focusing much more on my family and myself. (The first order of business being GET HANNAH POTTY TRAINED!!!!) can you hear how excited I am to do this?! uuuugggghhhh....

Shane and I are also trying to focus more on where God is leading us. We are trying to figure out what to do with our house that just doesn't seem to be selling. We are trying to figure out where to go after we sell it. We are trying to spend more time in God's word and listening to the Holy Spirit than we ever have before. We are working on trying to have another baby... boom chicka wow wow...(sorry...I couldn't resist!!!!) And we are working on making sure that Caleb and Hannah's hearts are healthy!

Finally, we are working on grieving with each other instead of the entire world. We have had some very intimate conversations about our grief and our sadness. We have spent many nights on the couch crying and praying together. We are hurting. We are sad. And we need to get ourselves well- not only for the sake of our selves, but for the sake of our children.

I hate to say it, but I've enjoyed this "rearranging" of priorities. We've been doing some light traveling. Having great conversations, and laughing A LOT! We still have moments of sadness, but that is expected. We are learning to live again and to live healthily.

I've been so busy lately.....I guess I've been busy healing...slowly but surely!

How wonderful for you and your family! I love your posts but I hope you continue to leave shor ones or none at all. I have come to call you friend, even though I have never met you, but your family is first and always should be and it warms my heart to know that you guys are healing together. Also, who can resist candy land and playing house! :)

Glad to hear it. :) Even if you screen my calls. ;) I love you and love that you have re-focused. We all need that, now and again.

All I can say is "GOOD FOR YOU". Your family will be richer for it. Take care!

yay for you indeed!! Praise the Lord for some serious healing development ;0) LOVE YOU!!! i've been super busy myself, hence little contact lately, but you probably would've screened my calls too (wink to carla) if i'd tried calling anyway, so i'm guessing it's all good...haha... i love you!!! so so much!!! this post fills my heart with joy ;0) - plus it's nice to know that i've not missed out on too many of your posts since all my business has taken place because you've not been written all that much anyway...works for me... haha... just messin'... i really am happy to read this... and i raelly am hoping - having faith- that somehow i can get to the u.s this summer, even if only for a very short while or something... i'm just very hopeful, with not much to base my hope on except for his grace, so yeah, hopeful is right...anyawy, all this to say, don't leave 'til i -hopefully- get there this summer!!! ;0) - love you! give big hugs and lots of love to the kiddos for me!

I think we all need to do that every now and again.
I've missed reading here, I go in spurts sometimes all I do is read blogs, sometimes I will post and then do nothing. and sometimes I ignore the blog community altogether.
It is easy to "Get lost" when instead we should be spending that precious time with Him.
But today I need to BE in the community, I'm feeling like a failure, so reading my peeps blogs keeps my mind on GOOD things. :)

there's a book called something like "potty training in less than a day" and it's an old-school tried and true method of teaching kids using their logic and reasoning..... they say most kids get the hang of it in only a few hours. i've heard from many different mothers that it works very well. i'm reading it now but haven't tried it yet with my 2 yo.

Sounds like an excellent plan. God Bless you all

Ahh, I was just looking for you on Twitter and notice that you left!

I haven't stopped by since about Christmas. You're sounding a heckuva lot better now than you did. I'm so happy you've got good things going on. Sometimes big changes are refreshing and bring hope.
