Shane and Caleb are shooting invisible rays of electricity at each other.
Caleb shoots Shane with bolts from his eyes.
Shane flops around on the ground yelling out and instantly goes still.
Caleb laughs and giggles.
Shane is miraculously healed and jumps up and shoots fire at Caleb.
Caleb screams and runs and then peaks around the corner and shoots another bolt of electricity.
I love nights like this.
Hannah and I sit on the couch while they play.
Hannah looks up at me: "Mommy? You paint my nails? Pweeeeeessssseeeee???!!!!"
"Ok, what color do you want them?" I say.
"PINKKKKKK!!!!!!!" she squeals.
I love nights like this.
I get the pink nail polish.
"I want purple too Mommy!!!"
"Alright, I'll get purple too."
If only I knew what Joshua was doing on nights like this.

I let my daughter paint my toenails. She got pretty much the whole toes. I love nights like those, too. Do you have a grandparent in heaven? Maybe Joshua is being cuddled by him or her.
I would believe that he is whispering in Hannah's ear to ask about nail painting. And smiling down upon you all. :)

Anonymous- you are right. He is loved. I struggle with verb tenses when talking about him. The reality is that he is gone, but he is still loved even in his absence. :o)
I think he was right there with you and whispered to Hannah to pick purple.
He is now in his perfect body God has given him, and looking down on his family.
Ahh I can't wait until my kids are this age!

Leyda has plans to play with Jesus.... so I imagine Joshua and Jesus are playing....like Shane and Caleb!
Jill - thats wasn't me!!! I didn't anonymously say that!! Sounds like me bit I'd just say it. I logged in to say he is swimming in the crystal sea! He is following jesus around learning the ropes. He is just listening and watching intently with that 'contemplating' look, 2 fingers on his lip, looking like Caleb.
Joshua is very, very near...smiling...as he loves his family so!
