A Few Things

1. I am officially back on Facebook and Twitter. I felt like I was ready. However, Facebook overwhelmed me very quickly. I decided something had to be done. I was either going to shut it down all together or delete friends. (there is something wrong with having a friend request with 80 friends in common and not knowing a single one of those mutual friends!) With that being said, I decided to "clean house" a little bit. I deleted over 400 friends. If you were one of the people that I deleted, I'm sorry. It's not that I don't care about you or like you. I was overwhelmed with the amount of people that I really didn't know.

2. After I deleted friends, another friend of mine (who by the way, is an extremely talented blog designer and magnet maker!!!), helped me create a Real Life of a Redhead fan page. If you woulld like, feel free to become a fan of that (look on the right hand side of my blog a little further down for the facebook widget!) I'm still working on getting it officially running and figuring out the best way to update on it. Please be patient with me as I figure that one out! :o)

3. My Christmas shopping is almost done. For a dear one in my life (I'm not telling who) I ordered a piece of jewelry. In my search for something that I liked, I came across this site. An amazing lady named Rhonda owns this site and makes all of her jewelry by hand. She has some amazingly beautiful pieces. She can customize whatever you want and is a genuine sweetheart. So, if you are looking for a great Christmas gift that has a personal touch, check out Rhonda and her jewerly. (some of it is witty and humurous too!) (Also, if you are looking for something for a man in your life, she makes mens jewelry as well!)

4. I went through Joshua's things yesterday and Shane and I came up with a plan to get his clothes and blankets quilted and his foot prints shadowboxed. We also gave some of the items to Hannah to use for her baby dolls. It felt so good to go through his stuff, smell him, and remember him. It will be good to have his stuff displayed rather than shoved in a tub in the corner of the room. It gave me a sense of peace to come up with a plan to incorporate him into our family, even if he's not here.

5. Although I still have my hard days that threaten to suffocate me, I feel like Shane and I are making some good steps to healing. The grief is still present every day of our lives, and we still cry almost every day, but I feel like maybe we are starting to figure our how to live with the wound of his death. It still hurts and is extremely fresh and painful, but maybe, just maybe, it's starting to develop a soft scab to help protect it. We are continuing to thank God for His faithfulness through our pain, suffering, anger, and sadness. We really do serve a good God.
