Red and Blue Day

When we first received Joshua's heart diagnosis when I was 22 weeks pregnant, I started searching frantically for any and all resources that were available. I scoured the internet for information. I wanted to become as informed as possible about what our future held so Shane and I could make the best possible choices for our son.

One of the resources I found was this blog. Steve, is a 44 year old Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) survivor. His blog became one of my biggest sources of information and Steve became my friend (despite me telling him that he was old enough to be my father!!! Sorry Steve!!!). He even reached out to Shane and provided him with some great articles about becoming a father of a heart baby.

I learned more about Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and the history, care, and treatment of Congenital Heart Defects from Steve and his blog than anywhere else.

Steve wrote a post about a very special day coming on November 29th. Please be sure to click that link and go over and read it!

Thank you Steve. Thank you for your contrabutions to CHD awareness. Thank you for supporting Cardiac Kids and their families. Thank you for your emails of encouragement. Thank you for being our friend.
