Joshua had a decent night last night. After he got some more blood and some fluid he seemed to somewhat stabalize. He's been having some low blood pressure, but nothing too serious. Thank you so much for continuing to pray.
Here are some pictures from yesterday.
In the picture below, Joshua's diaper is on the left, and my pad is on the right. HA! Gotta love hospital grade pads! The nurses teased me that if I ran out of pads, that they have me covered with diapers!
This is what Joshua did yesterday.
He just hung out.
Then he crashed and they brought a new "toy" in.
The machine on the far right is new to his room "just in case."
It's to put nitric oxide into his lungs to help with something, but who knows what!
Thankfully we haven't had to use it.
We are leaving it in the room to ward off all evil spirits according to the nurse. haha!
The picture below has a flash, but the 200 is his heart rate.
Yikes.
You can tell by the picture below that the fluids around his heart are building up.
The drains in his chest seem to be clogged and not draining, so in the mean time fluid is collecting and causing the "saran wrap" to bubble out a little bit. The doctors and nurses swear that it's ok for that to happen. You can also see that some of it is starting to leak down and out the sides of his saran wrap.
And finally, Mr. Joshua has been peeking out to say hi to the world.
Look at that beautiful eye! Isn't he just the sweetest?!

Sending tons of love and hugs and prayers your way! Glad he has taken a couple of steps forward. He is so beautiful!
I asked my friends on FB to pray for Joshua and all of you down there in Indy and back here at home. It's working. I might call him my little Popeye. I love the picture where his one eye is peeking out at the world. Also, he must be as strong as Popeye going through everything his little body is going through. Love you guys. I gotta get off because I am starting to tear up. Blessings on your day today.
I am praying so hard. I've told my whole family & some friends about little Joshua. He is such a sweetie & he looks so strong. I love the photos of his one eye open. Sending lots of hugs to you, Jill, your whole family, and to your precious little boy. ((HUGS))
The peeking eye is beautiful. Prayers.

Sweet little guy! Gosh those pics bring back lots of memories form Logan's first surgery.
Praying for you guys!
What a beautiful thing to see...his little eye opening and looking at you as you take his picture. How precious!
All those machines, wires and gadgets kinda makes their room look like a NASA experiment doesn't it? I remember that well.
Still sending prayers your way. Remember baby steps in the shuffle. Celebrate the small things.
Sweet little guy!! Keep fighting, Joshua -- you're doing great and we're ALL cheering for you.
And oh my. Those hospital-grade pads are hilarious. ;o)
He is so precious - it brings tears to my eyes. I hope he continues to improve. What a little fighter.
They would use the nitric if he gets up to 100% oxygen and his sats still don't stay within the range they want.
Anyway, He looks good! I'm glad that he is doing better this morning. :) That's so funny about the pads/diapers!
What a brave little fighter! I have been thinking of him and praying for him. Glad to hear he is doing better, I hope he continues to get better.
That last picture with his eye open is so precious.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful family. I pray God wraps his arms around Joshua and keeps him warm and comfy!
Gonna keep praying.
Praying for a blessed day with no surprises! Love the eye peeking out also.

Always praying! He is so strong and so are you! I have been spreading little Joshua's story around to my family and close friends, they all are praying as well!
My son has HLHS and I have been following your son through "Adventures of a Funky Heart!" My son had a rough few days right after his Norwood, but ended up doing just fine. Your son is so cute! I will be praying for you all.
Heart Hugs,
Paula
