Good Day

Just wanted to update quickly, Joshua has had a great day today. He's had a few episodes of low blood pressure but nothing major at all.

The cardiologist came in and he's pleased with the progress that Joshua is making. The surgeon came for a visit and said that he will close his chest on Monday.

All in all it's been a quiet and "restful" day.

I can't say enough about the staff at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. The nurses are beyond amazing. They are attentive, kind, and they laugh. (If you know me and Shane, you will know that we love to laugh.) We feel like we are in the best place possible to care for sweet Joshua.

I know I always end my posts with thank you's, but I feel like it's not enough. Thank you all so much for your love and support and your prayers. You have no idea how much you all have carried Shane and me through this with your kind words and encouragement. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Please continue to pray for Joshua as we go into the evening and night. Pray that he continues to do well and stay strong. Pray for the night nurses as they look after him. I'll update later tonight if there is anything new going on!

Have a great evening!

Jill, I've been wondering how you were doing and finally got on here to check. I'm so glad that Joshua's surgery was successful and hope the recent set back has passed. All my best,

God is good! Glad to hear that Joshua had a restful day - now lets hear that you rested as well. I can't stress that enough...and I know how easy it is to say it sitting on this side of the computer and how hard it is on that side of the crib in CVICU. Hopefully your other two precious children are doing well tonight. Prayers for your entire family as you journey thru this uncertain time.

Hi Jill, We are so happy that our new heart buddy is doing well. You have been in my thoughts and prayers all week. Stay strong, rest and take care of yourself, and rest in all the prayers that are being lifted up for all of you. God is big!!
