Appointment today

I just thought I would let you all know that our next cardiologist/perinatologist appointment is tomorrow today. We will have another Echo done on Joshua as well as hopefully get all of our questions answered.

Here are a few ways you can pray if you feel led.

1. Pray that they can tell us that Joshua's case of HLHS is "classic" with no other defects or complications on top of it.

2. Pray that God continues to give both Shane and me peace about what the doctors say.

3. Pray that communication between us and the doctors is clear and concise.

4. Pray for safe travels to and from Indy. (2 hour drive one way.)

Be checking my facebook and/or twitter for updates throughout the day. We are leaving at 9am and probably won't be home until approx. 7pm. While we are there, we will be meeting a family who's baby boy just went through his first HLHS surgery. He has the same doctors that Joshua will have. Their situation is very VERY similar to ours and I'm amazed at how God brought this family to us.

After the appointment we will be meeting with my cousin who works as a postpartum nurse in the hospital I will deliver at. Then we will probably catch a quick supper and then get home.

I will update here either tomorrow night tonight or Wednesday morning. Be checking my facebook and/or twitter for updates throughout the day.

Good luck Jill!!! You have been so much stronger than I could ever be. I know I don't know you very well, but I definitely admire your strength and moreover, your faith. I'm trying more every day to "let go and let God" and trust that He does not give me anything I can't handle.

As someone (in the near future) in the health care field - the biggest thing I can stress to you or anyone else is; do not be afraid to ask questions of the doctor and even the nurse. I can't be sure about your case, but most of the time, the nurses are the faces of health care and know more than they're given credit for. If there is ANY time you're unclear on ANYTHING, ask. A good doctor will not mind answering questions at all.

I will definitely be praying for good news, safe travels, and peace for you and Shane.
