Today is the day!

Today is the day that I have been planning for over 5 months! It is the day that has brought crazy amounts of stress to my already chaotic life!

Today is the Enchanted Gown Giveaway!

Being the Director of Shepherd's Closet (our church's community outreach ministry providing free and inexpensive clothes to the community and other non for profits) I decided to try something new this year and coordinate a prom dress giveaway. I met with a few businesses in the community and finally partnered with the local cleaners to get this thing off the ground.

This is the first year that we've done it here in Huntington, (others have done it in Fort Wayne, but were not willing to share their secrets!) so I'm anxious to see how this plays out!

We've got over 250 dresses to give to high school girls for absolutely free! Some of them are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!! (basically wedding dresses dyed pink!!!)

I've got plenty of volunteers for tonight, lots of cookies to bake, and lemonade to mix. We've got other businesses who have donated hair updos for free, jewlery, and discounts on prom services. It's going to be a great night!

Now we just need to pray that girls show up! :o)

I'm so excited today is the day!
