Bye Bye Tiny Pets!

Picture this in your mind:

It's 11:30pm.

The kids have been in bed for 2 1/2 hours.

Shane is home from work.

We are sitting on the couch, Luke in his lap, talking about his day.

Imagine our surprise when a little head pops around the corner of the stairway and the tiniest voice says, "Mom, I'm sorry that there is sugar all over your bed."

I look up, and see Hannah with a guilt stricken look on her face.

I ask her, "What do you mean there is sugar on my bed?"

Her only reply is a very quiet, "I'm sorry."

I head up the steps and low and behold, my bed is covered in a fine white powder. So is my night stand, head board, floor, and pillows. There is a fine dust covering our dressers, the crib, and mirrors.

Hannah got into my stash of baking soda that was in our master bathroom. (the baking soda that I use on occasion to wash my hair.)

I wish I had taken pictures, but I was too exhausted to go back down stairs to get my phone.

Instead, take a look at this.

See that white stuff? That is the baking soda that I vacuumed up. The entire box and a half of it.

yeah.........

So,  her tiny pets are stuffed in laundry baskets in the top of my closet and in the garage until she can prove to me that she is done making big messes.

While her tiny pets are in tiny pet jail, my house has never been cleaner. Hannah is bound and determined to get those puppies back. In an effort to prove that she is done being naughty, she has cleaned up her room, the toy/game closet, the kitchen play area, and the living room that is usually covered in her toys.

I think she will get her pets back by tomorrow. But in the mean time, I'm enjoying her help!

Bye bye tiny pets!

::Edit:: The next day, Hannah decided to get into the blue marker. She colored her hands and arms up to her elbows completely blue. I laughed at the smurf-like look of her...until I realized that she drew stick figures all over the dining room wall. ugh.

I think she is in need of some one on one time. I'm tired of the destructive and attention seeking behaviors.I think a mommy/Hannah date night is in order this weekend! :o) ::end edit::

ha ha, my son when he was little stayed with my mom. Well during nap time she put the play pen in her sewing room so he got into the blue marker that you mark patterns with and proceeds to make himself look like a mini smurf with a mustache:0)
