My Very First Giveaway!

I am typically not one who likes giveaways on blogs. I love to read about other people's interests and passions, but when it comes to giveaways, I'm not always interested. (I'm probably just bitter because I've never won a giveaway before!)

However, I've got something that is too good not to share with a couple of you!

Every Saturday, our community has a farmer's market. We usually try to load up the kids and take a stroll through the downtown area, looking at all of the homemade items and freshly picked produce.

Very rarely do we buy anything.

Until we came across this:

It is also Gluten and High Fructose  Corn Syrup Free!!!

There is a local company called Master's Hand BBQ that makes the VERY best BBQ sauce I have ever tasted in my life. (Man- I had a hard time typing BBQ....it's not very often that I use a capital Q when typing!)

Shane tried a sample of it at the market, and decided that he had to buy a jar. I will admit, I am typically not a big BBQ sauce fan, so I was skeptical about this sauce.

However, we came home and Shane made me try it.

Let me just say- I went scowering the fridge and freezer looking for ANYTHING that I could eat with it. (I seriously thought about drinking the stuff straight out of the jar!)

I may or may not have even hidden the jar in the fridge so no one would find it and eat it....seriously...it's that good.

What's even better? I looked up their website. They are a local Christian company.

After reading through, I decided to email them and tell them how impressed I was with not only their product, but also their company. (who doesn't love a company that asks for prayer requests right on their website...I mean, come on!!!)

This is part of the response that I received back from Steve, the owner of the company: "As you know we have great products that we feel came from God and we take no credit for their existence, however the mission of this company is to help people financially through the blessing that he provides and to help people find and follow Jesus through the mission that He has this company on. We are all about reaching more people to build this company so that He can reach millions of people for Him."

Whaaaatttt????? Yes. Reaching people for Christ through BBQ sauce.

I. LOVE. IT.

So, what better way to celebrate the sweet and tangy goodness of Steve's God's BBQ sauce?

Well, by giving away 2 jars to two of my blog readers of course! (how many forms of to, two, and too can I possibly use in one sentence?!)

I know it's not much, but my hope is to not only provide you with a delicious and wholesome sauce for your family (or just you- if you decide to be selfish like me) but also to help create some interest in this amazing company. (Let's just say they have an order online option- you can buy either a jar or a GALLON of their sauces! mmmmmmm.....is your mouth watering yet?!)

So here's how you can enter for the giveaway:

All you have to do is leave a comment (any old comment) in the comment section of this post, before Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at midnight. I will choose a winner at random on Wednesday morning and get your sauce in the mail by Friday!

(By the way, Steve and Master's Hand BBQ have generously provided me with 2 jars to give away for free. Any jars that we have consumed at home have been purchased with our own money- I am in no way being compensated by Master's Hand to do this giveaway...I just love their stuff THAT MUCH!)

So, get commenting and get winning!

Apparently, Blogger is being difficult for some and there are some people who can't comment because blogger isn't working right. If you want to enter, but Blogger won't let you comment- head over to The Real Life of a RedHead's facebook page- click like and leave a comment there. I will enter your name in the comments below and get you entered! :o)

I love a good BBQ sauce! I, too am a selfish one that would hide it in the fridge and not share. But that's how it works in this house, if you want it you better hide it.

So, I'm not really concerned with winning, but did want to say that I think it's amazing how focused they are on God and using whatever skill they have (which in this case is BBQ sauce) to glorify Him...

Next time we come over, we would like to request a barbeque with the sauce... ;)

Being the farm girl that I am, we raise all our own beef and pork. I think I have tried every BBQ sauce available at the store and none of them have really made my mouth water for more. I would love to give this a try on some of my home-grown beef and pork!

This stuff looks awesome! I made pulled pork for the first time last week, so I'm thinking this sauce would be amazing on it as well!
