Today, 
my heart aches 
with the inexplicable pain 
of what should be, 
yet it rejoices
in what was. 


Minutes old. The only time I would ever hold him without tubes or wires connected.


Happy 2nd Birthday, Joshua. 

Speak his name today. 
Remember him. 
Rejoice in his life. 
Cry with us in our grief.
