Capture your Grief Day 3: Myths about Grief

Shortly after Joshua died, I had a lot of well meaning people tell me that time heals all wounds.

3 years into the journey, I have found that time does not heal our wounds.

We just simply learn to live with them.

We learn how to function with the pain.
We become experts at hiding the pain.
We become skilled in living and loving despite the pain.

Grief just becomes a part of us.

  1. So very true. It becomes a cherished part of your being without you being morbid or stuck in place...Time may change grief and how it is expressed but it doesn't erase it.
